I am inspired by the wild, rugged beauty of Celtic coastlines and I am always seeking new locations to shoot. Yet I had never witnessed the West Coast of Ireland. So in Autumn 2021 I headed over to take a look. I was lucky enough to have a guide in Ian Brennan, a fellow photographer and workshop regular who hails from the Emerald Isle. We only had a week to scout around but it was a truly enlightening experience. We were based in the Burren National Park on Galway Bay, yet we travelled down as far as Kenmare. These images represent just the beginning of what I know will be a long and lasting relationship with this beautifully inspiring coastline.
